AGS Therapeutics (www.ags-tx.com) is a preclinical-stage biotech company pioneering microalgae extracellular vesicles (MEVs) as a new, universal, delivery system for innovative therapeutics, vaccines and gene therapies. MEVs have shown to be a safe, targeted and highly versatile delivery system for innovative biologics, such as RNAs, DNAs, and polypeptides, for a broad range of human diseases.
AGS-M (www.ags-m.com), the CDMO subsidiary of AGS Therapeutics, is aimed to produce the MEV batches needed to support R&D, and future clinical development of MEV-based product pipelines from AGS and from pharmaceutical partners of AGS. AGS’ MEVs are derived from Chlorella, a two-billion-year-old single-cell algae, classified as GRAS by FDA, and used as a food supplement for decades.
With a strong IP position and an experienced and dedicated team onboard, AGS works on proprietary technology platforms including microalgae cell engineering, biomolecule design, biopharmaceutical product development in vitro and in vivo, MEVs manufacturing at lab and pre-industrial scale, MEVs bio-analytics and characterization.
We are seeking to hire motivated professionals with experience in life sciences, engineering, and biotechnology, as well as with the right attitude to afford working in a disruptive biotech, to join the team and help us build and lead a novel, green generation of biopharmaceuticals.
At AGS, we value the attitude of our collaborators (positive, constructive, collaborative) at the upmost level, well above past experience, expertise, and performance.
■ Be involved in the design, execution, and analysis of research and development activities including (1) the sourcing, incorporation, evaluation, improvement, and validation of DSP processes and technologies for the purification of MEVs from microalgae cultures, (2) the routine execution of validated processes and technologies for the purification of MEVs, (3) the close collaboration with other areas of work inside AGS, such as analytics (area that evaluates the quality and characterization of the MEVs to be purified by the candidate), in vivo and in vitro evaluation (area that evaluates the biological activity of the MEVs produced, purified, and characterized), (4) the sourcing, incorporation, evaluation, improvement, and validation of loading processes and technologies for the loading of purified MEVs, (5) the routine execution of validated processes and technologies for the loading of purified MEVs, (6) the identification and discussion with vendors and service providers involved in technologies and equipment for the purification of MEVs, as well as for the loading of MEVs or other nanoparticles, (7) among other opportunely decided.
■ Independently search and analyze scientific publications to design studies and choose experimental methodology.

We strongly believe AGS’ science and technology can make a difference for patients worldwide. Gene and drug therapies of tomorrow need delivery solutions that are less invasive than current alternatives, that can deliver the therapeutic molecules safely and effectively, and that can overcome particularly stringent biological barriers to access inaccessible tissues like the gastro-intestinal tract, the brain, the choroid-retina, the lungs.
We explore and develop the potential of our technology, by putting a strong emphasis in R&D challenges, and in creating new disrupting paradigms to bypass long-standing narrow-scoped scientific assumptions.
You will have an opportunity to be a part of a highly innovative biotech, build on your skills and learn from your colleagues - but also enjoy our motivating, proactive, and creative atmosphere.
If you are looking for an inspiring, challenging, ambitious, and fast-moving work environment - AGS is your place!
